Chief Jester was a dedicated lifetime member. Chief Jester served on almost every position there was to serve in Houston, the county, and the state. There is no one that anyone can think of who loved nothing more than his family and his fire company and community. When there was a commitment needed to a project, Chief Jester was there; where there was leadership needed, Chief Jester stepped in; and when there was dedication and a call to service needed, Chief Jester always responded. There is no greater love then when someone lays down their life for another. Chief Jester not only lived by those values; in fact, you could say, he wrote the book on them. Chief Jester will forever be the voice over the echo and will be remembered for generations to come.
At this time we ask that you keep his family and our fire company in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this difficult time.
For those wishing to attend services will be held as follows: The viewing will be Saturday, December 13th, 2025 from 1100-1300 at Houston Volunteer Fire Co. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and share memories. Immediately following the viewing will be the services at 1300, also at Houston Volunteer Fire Co. After the service, we will proceed together to Saint Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood for the burial and final committal prayers. Following the interment, all are welcome to join the family for food and fellowship at Houston Volunteer Fire Co. Banquet Hall. This will be a time to remember, honor, and celebrate their life together.
