Thank you for taking the time to consider becoming a member of the Houston
Volunteer Fire Company. Our members have spent their lives dedicated to providing
emergency services to the friends, family and the community. The decision to join a
volunteer organization is not one taken lightly. Many hours are spent away from family and
friends, often in very dangerous situations. The question is often asked why do we do it? Well the
answer speaks for itself when you see the look on the faces of the people we help. That’s why we do it.

• Age 15 and Older.
• No felony convictions.
• Able to pass a Department paid medical assessment.

There are many different aspects to the fire department. Not everyone wants or has to be a front line firefighter. If you would like to provide emergency medical services, or be part of the Ladies Auxiliary we would love to have you.
