Houston Vol. Fire Co. purchased a Rescue Engine from Atlantic Emergency Solutions out of Middletown, DE. With the help of our Truck Committee and the members of Houston Volunteer Fire Co. we were able to bring a new engine into our fleet of fire trucks. The new truck is being named Rescue 52. Rescue 52 has a 1,000 gallon tank, with a Cummins engine, it will also hold 30 gallons of foam as well as a stay dry dispenser. Rescue 52 is currently being equipped with all the tools and hoses. Houston members John Thorpe Sr. and Carroll Jester went to Pierce took look over the final inspection of the truck before it came home. Houston Vol. Fire Co. would like to take the time to thank the Truck Committee for all there hard work on getting the truck home and in our station.
